새로운 것을 시작하는 것이 아니라, 하나님께서 교회를 통해 이미 행하고 계신 일을 기념하고 연결하는 것입니다.
Daniel
I first came to faith as a college student through Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). I am deeply grateful for those years—learning to follow Jesus alongside my teammates and discovering how my relationship with Him should shape the way I treat others. Those experiences laid a foundation that continues to guide me today.
Years later, my wife Lisa and I moved from Seattle to Rancho Cordova to be near our parents and siblings. We now live along Coloma Road—the main road in “Old Rancho.” This three-mile stretch is known locally as "Church Row" because it is home to thirteen congregations, each faithfully serving Jesus in their own unique ways.
As I became more involved in my home congregation and community, I began to experience what so many dedicated leaders and volunteers feel: the strain of trying to do more than one church can do alone. Sometimes that looks like too few volunteers, crowded calendars, or ministries starting from scratch without realizing that others nearby are already serving in similar ways. These aren’t failures—they’re simply the challenges of serving faithfully without the gift of wider connection.
Day after day, as I drove along Coloma Road, I found myself asking some simple but important questions:
-
What could be possible if congregations worked together?
-
How much joy and encouragement would we share if we knew what God was doing in the congregations just across the street?
-
When someone comes with a need our church can’t meet, who in the wider Body of Christ might already be ready to help—so that instead of turning them away, we could connect them to the care they need?
Out of those questions, this ministry was born—not to start something new, but to honor and connect what God is already doing in His Church here. Our vision is to see the congregations of Rancho Cordova unified in Christ—thriving, collaborating, and making disciples together.
Our prayer is that we would live as one family, marked by our love for one another (John 13), and that this love would shine as our clearest witness to the world that Jesus is Lord (John 17).

By God’s grace, I was raised by Christian parents who brought us to church each Sunday. I learned about the foundation of the Bible and was part of a kid’s program that encouraged memorizing Scripture and earning badges for our sashes as we progressed in the program. What really impacted my faith in those developmental years was a Christian girl’s magazine called Brio. They had a mini-series of articles that walked through relatable events and struggles about a young girl like me. There in my room, alone with these articles, I could feel the weight of my sin and that I needed a Savior. I accepted Jesus then and there.
I desired to walk with the Lord even through the difficult times of middle school, high school, and college. It was evident that the Lord was protecting this mustard seed of faith that I wanted to nurture and grow. Joining Cru in college propelled my trust in God as I learned how to share my faith, developed a routine of being in His Word, fellowship with other believers, and engaged in powerful times of prayer and worship. The Bible study in my dorm area became a safe place to ask questions and where I learned about Holy Spirit and His role in my life. I was discipled by my Bible study leader which God provided during really tough life events in college. Later, I then discipled women that were in Bible studies that I led alongside other students.
God called me to several mission trips during college including a summer spent in Santa Monica, CA with 65 other college students, a summer in South Africa on a student lead trip with 17 of us, and later, one year back to South Africa during my senior year. I discipled college-aged women and experienced sharing the gospel in another culture that really stretched my narrow view as a born and raised in California girl.
When I returned from SA after the year, Daniel and I reconnected as friends and started dating. Once married, we knew God had a unique calling for us that has remained steadfast though we have held various job positions. We are confident that after working together in the corporate and non-profit spaces that God has us here in Rancho Cordova to see his Kingdom come and to be part of that work here.
My desire is for God’s people in Rancho Cordova to be connected with other believers throughout the city. This gift of life we’ve been given is so much harder to handle in isolation. “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am with them” (Mt 18:20). Let’s gather together in the presence of our Almighty God to pray, connect, and grow here in our city.
